Oh yes! Singaporeans, get that internet working and pre-order the latest released sleek models by Samsung, the Galaxy S8, and Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus. The smartphones are priced at S$1,148 and S$1,298 respectively, and yes, the pre-orders go live on Friday (April 7).
Users with existing contracts can register with the three major telecom operators 12 pm onwards. Those, who do not wish to pre-order the smartphones with contracts can simply go to Samsung’s website, major consumer electronics stores’ websites including Best Denki, Courts, Gain City, Hachi, Harvey Norman and Newstead, Lazada Singapore and Samsung Experience stores. While pre-orders begin at the Galaxy Studio at Ngee Ann City a week later from 11 am.
Consumers need to make a deposit S$40 per device when ordering at the Samsung Experience stores or the Galaxy Studio. The ones who make the pre-orders successfully will get the smartphones along with a complimentary wireless charger convertible priced S$118 during collection of the device from April 22 after full payment. Whereas, consumers who register at Samsung Experience Store, Galaxy Studio, consumer electronics stores, Samsung Store Online and Lazada, will also receive a Samsung Accessories Voucher worth S$100.
And, much to the delight of all the tech enthusiasts, these devices will be available April 29 onwards at all local telcos, authorized mobile retailers, major consumer electronics stores, Samsung Experience stores and Lazada Singapore. Both the smartphones will be available in three colors – Maple Gold, Midnight Black, and Orchid Gray.
Samsung has unveiled the smartphones long after it permanently stopped the sales of Galaxy Note 7 series in October last year due to reports of some devices exploding. The smartphones are sleek, mark the debut of Samsung’s very own virtual assistant and has managed to attract the eyeballs of all the tech lovers. The phones, available in 5.8-inch (Galaxy S8) and 6.2-inch (Galaxy S8+), features a bezel-less display, and the Korean giant has named it the ‘Infinity display’.
